Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our premium heritage meats and delivery service.
How is my meat packaged to stay fresh during transit?
We use high-performance insulated boxes and reusable ice gel packs to ensure your meat stays at a food-safe temperature for up to 48 hours. Each cut is vacuum-sealed or butcher-wrapped to maintain peak freshness.
Where does Swaledale source its livestock?
We work exclusively with a small network of trusted farmers in the Yorkshire Dales. Our livestock consists of native heritage breeds that are slow-grown and pasture-raised for superior flavor and marbling.
Can I choose a specific delivery date?
Yes, during the checkout process, you can select your preferred delivery date from our available calendar. We deliver Tuesday through Saturday to most UK mainland addresses.
Is your meat suitable for home freezing?
Absolutely. Because our meat is dispatched fresh (never previously frozen), it is perfectly suitable for freezing. We recommend freezing on the day of delivery for the best quality.
What should I do if there is an issue with my order?
Your satisfaction is our priority. If there is any problem with your delivery or the quality of the product, please contact our customer service team within 24 hours of receipt with your order number and photos of the issue.
Do you offer any grass-fed or dry-aged products?
Yes, the majority of our beef and lamb is grass-fed. Our beef is dry-aged on the bone in our own Himalayan salt chamber for a minimum of 28 days to enhance tenderness and depth of flavor.
